Vintage platinum opal, diamond, emerald pendant

A magnificent vintage Edwardian platinum filigree pendant from our Vintage Collection, this natural opal pendant has natural emerald and diamond accents. The marquise shaped crystal opal measures 24.57 mm in length X 10.65 mm in width X 3.9 mm in depth for an estimated weight of 5.25 carats and is prong set.   It displays a vibrant blue/green with plays of orange, yellow and lavender.  The opal is framed by twenty six SI quality Old European Cut diamonds, with an estimated total weight of .75 carats that are bright cut into the filigree design in four separate sections.  There are a total of five round emeralds that are set into the corners and the crown of the pendant.  Three of the emeralds measure 5 mm in diameter, while 2 of them measure 4 mm in diameter. They display an intense shade of green with fair saturation, and are fairly well matched. There are eight caliber cut small emeralds channel set, four above and four below the opal. The total weight of all the emeralds is approx. 2.2 carats.
