Andamooka black opal and diamond 14ky gold ring
Andamooka opal, also known as "Queens Opal" because of Queen Elizabeth II being presented with a beautiful specimen upon her visit there in 1947, is the variety of opal set in this 14 karat yellow gold ring. The roughly half carat pear shaped opal displays subtle colors such as blue, green, orange and yellow. The opal is secured with 4 prongs and cap on the tip and is bordered on one side by 3 sparkling, vibrant, round brilliant cut natural diamonds that are flush set on the heavier side of the mounting. The near colorless, SI Clarity quality diamonds have a total weight of .11 carats. The ring is size 8.
