Cloisonné glass fused sapphire and diamond 14ky gold pin

A striking example of the art of cloisonné, this 14 karat yellow gold estate floral design pin features 8 white cloisonné petals with green in the center, surrounding a small single round brilliant cut diamond.  The prong set SI quality diamond measures 2.1 mm for an estimated weight of .04 carats.  Between each of the white petals is a small round natural blue sapphire. The 8 sapphires measure an average 2.4 mm in diameter for an estimated total weight of .72 carats. They are set in low base 4 prong heads.  The pin is an airy domed openwork design with curls of gold around the outer edge and a milgrain finish around the petals.  It is secured with a hinge and pin assembly.
