Vintage Art Deco Natural ruby and diamond platinum ring
This vintage estate ring is a fine example of an Art Deco design. Made in platinum with a fan of diamonds spread out above a fine natural 1.07 carat round ruby.
The prong set ruby displays very good intensity and saturation in a red hue. A black rhodium plating has been applied to the ruby prong tips so they appear to blend in with the ruby.
Directly above the ruby is a "crown" of 4 small marquise shape diamonds set into slightly elevated heads, with an estimated total weight of .20 carats. Rising above the marquise diamonds, are four "pleats" of the fan set with a combination of small round single cut diamonds and baguette cut diamonds. In addition, there is a small round single cut diamond and a small baguette diamond in the shank on each side of the ruby. All the diamonds are average SI clarity. The 14 round diamonds are bright cut into the ring and have a total estimated weight of .30 carats. The 4 baguettes are secured with end caps and have an estimated total weight of .16 carats for a grand total of 22 diamonds with approximately .66 carats total diamond weight. The ring is detailed with millgrain borders and is finger size 4.75, but can be sized upon request.
