5ct opal and diamond rustic 14ky gold ring

This amazing natural crystal opal is enhanced (and protected!) by a rustic 14 karat yellow gold mounting reminiscent of coral branches.  The large oval opal is approximately 5 carats and displays intense colors, including blue, orange, green, yellow and violet.  It has very good polish and symmetry. The stone is secured with 5 prongs plus free-form prongs that merely guard the stone. The mounting also holds 3 round brilliant cut diamonds set in white gold 4 prong heads soldered into the mounting. The SI quality diamonds have a total weight of .21 carats. The ring is size 6.5.
