Antique Edwardian platinum and 6ctw diamond brooch
This extravagant Belle Époque marquise shaped brooch is masterfully hand fabricated in platinum, circa early 1900's and set with 20 antique diamonds for an estimated total diamond weight of 6.0 carats! A diamond set draped scroll design, is mirrored around the four larger center diamonds and framed with a delicate lace like pattern. The four large bezel set center diamonds starting from the hinge side on the left, to the hook on the right side are graded as follows:
- 1 Old European cut diamond, estimated weight of 1.28 carats, Color J, Clarity SI2
- 1 Old European cut diamond, estimated weight of 1.27 carats, Color I, Clarity VS2
- 1 Old European cut diamond, estimated weight of 1.47 carats, Color L, Clarity VS2
- 1 Old European cut diamond, estimated weight of 1.32 carats, Color J, Clarity I1
The brooch weighs 12.5 grams, measures 2.1 inches in length, by .82 inches in width and is secured with a hinged white gold pin and locking latch. A rare and stunning Edwardian era masterpiece!
