Carlos White Eagle was born in 1937 and passed in 2013. Born in Arizona, his heritage is Mescalero Apache/Navajo. He was a silversmith, painter, and sculptor who began to make jewelry at the age of five under the tutelage of legendary Navajo artist, Fred Peshlakai. Later he moved to California where he first sold his jewelry on the streets of Union Square in Los Angeles. Quickly recognized for his undeniable talent, he was soon exhibiting in galleries and his work was collected by the Roosevelts, President Eisenhower, Elvis Presley, and Cher.
