.56ct Tanzanite and opal inlay 14ky gold ring

This contemporary 14 karat yellow gold estate ring features a center periwinkle color  marquise shaped tanzanite highlighted by an opal inlay band.  The tanzanite measures approximately 8 mm in length X 4 mm in width for an estimated weight of .56 carats and has fair intensity with fair saturation in the periwinkle hue. The stone is set in a low base solid gallery head and secured with end caps.  The opals display a vibrant green and blue character and are inlaid with a black background with gold separators around the stones. The band is tapered with a "pinched" center to show off the tanzanite and provide a little extra flare.  It measures 9 mm in width on top and 3.5 mm on the bottom of the shank, and is finger size 7.  A very stylish and beautiful color combination!
