The stone Rhodochrosite, only used as a gemstone since 1940, offers up a singular raspberry color with characteristic black zig-zag bands in this 14 karat yellow gold pendant. This pendant also happens to have the Aquarius Greek symbol on the back. The name Rhodochrosite is Greek for "rose colored". The elongated oval cabochon cut stone weighs approximately 9 carats. The 14 karat yellow gold mounting consists of scalloped prongs with the stone resting on a single gallery gold design. The estate pendant is suspended from an oval jump ring bale.
